The West Texas Rabbit and Cavy Club was formed in the year 2001. The idea of a West Texas club had been floating around in the minds of the residents who breed rabbits here, until Lisa Cohens gathered some of the people there and held a meeting. They formed offices, named the club, and got the club chartered by the ARBA and TRBA. Since then the WTRCC has been growing, receiving new members all the time. We currently have members from Grape Creek, San Angelo, Miles, Veribest, Wall, and several other communities. The WTRCC held their first annual show in Ballinger, TX, and it turned out to be a huge success! Ballinger helped support us by creating a sign that told people about our show. We had several people from all around Texas to support us! We received several compliments on how people loved our show, because it was so laid-back. We held a raffle that helped raise money for our next show. Our show ran smoothly thanks to everyone who helped!! We also had a vendor who was very pleased to support us. After that first show we were able to get on our feet and start planning for a bigger and nicer show for the comfort of our exhibitors! If you would like to join please feel free to, no matter where you live!|
